On March 20, 2024, members of the 2 District detective Office, in coordination with the members of the Forensic Video Unit, and the Technological Crimes Unit, arrested another suspect in relation to this incident.
Sahir Channan (21 years old) of Niagara Falls was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault
- Public Mischief
Channan was held in custody pending a bail hearing to be held on March 20, 2024 at the Robert S.K. Welsh Court House in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Update 1 - July 31, 2023
Detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) have continued to investigate the July 23, 2023, stabbing incident at the Euphoria Social Lounge. That investigation has led to the identification of a suspect.
The victims continue to recover from their injuries.
On July 31, 2023, Sameer Channan (27 years old) of Niagara Falls the owner / operator of Euphoria Social Lounge was arrested and charged with the Criminal Code offences of:
- Aggravated Assault (two counts)
Channan was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on July 31, 2023.
Original Release - July 24, 2023
On Sunday July 23, 2023, at 6:12am, 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service responded to a report of a stabbing in Niagara Falls.
Officers arrived on scene at the Euphoria Social Lounge at 6092 Main St. Two males (30s and 40s years) were in the rear parking lot suffering from serious stab injuries. Both males were treated at the scene by Niagara Emergency Medical Service paramedics and transported to an out of region hospital. A third male in his 20s was also treated by paramedics for minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital.
The initial investigation determined there had been a disturbance inside the Euphoria Social Lounge that escalated and became violent. 2 District detectives have been assigned to the investigation. Their investigation remains ongoing to determine who is responsible. There is believed to be no ongoing threat to public safety stemming from this incident.

Anyone (residents or businesses) in the area with closed circuit security cameras, doorbell video cameras, or dash cameras are asked to review their footage for suspicious activity for the period between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on July 23, 2023.
