NIAGARA REGIONAL POLICE

In February of 2024 the Niagara Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit developed a project to target those using the internet to communicate and meet in person with young people believed to be offering sexual services for money.
Between Jan. 31 and Feb. 3, NRPS detectives (Human Trafficking Unit, ICE Unit, Child Abuse Unit, Domestic Violence Unit) in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Led Joint Force Strategy, and with the assistance multiple police and law enforcement agencies, arrested 13 at a Niagara Falls hotel.
Upon further review of the scope of the publication ban, 11 of them facing charges may be identified.
The following have been arrested and charged:
- Saurabh Rudani (31 yrs.) Niagara Falls
- Allan Choi (51 yrs.) Niagara Falls
- Edmar Caraang (52 yrs.) St. Catharines
- Jeet Patel (25 yrs.) Thorold
- Sivayogan Thanagnanam (50 yrs.) Thorold
- Nurdin Gulled (23 yrs.) Welland
- Ahan Shukla (22 yrs.) St. Catharines
- Kyle Marsh (33 yrs.) Windsor
- Marc Doucet (44 yrs.) St. Catharines
- Feroz Khan (37 yrs.) Niagara Falls
- Jamten Jamyangling (27 yrs.) Niagara Falls
Two additional males are also facing charges, but cannot be identified due to existing publication bans.
All 13 males have been charged with the Criminal Code offences of:
- Luring a child for the purpose of obtaining sexual services
- Obtaining sexual services for consideration from a person under 18 Years
- Invite/counsel, sexual exploitation of a young person
The arrested males were held in custody and attended video bail hearings.

Niagara Regional Police Service Chief Bill Fordy states:

Integrated resources, the sharing of information, a victim-centred approach and community partnerships are crucial to law enforcement’s effective response to this kind of crime.”
