Three facing assault charges after weapons call in Niagara Falls

On Dec. 2, 2020, at approximately 6:30am 2 District – Niagara Falls uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) were called to a Niagara Falls residence for a report of an assault involving weapons.

Officers attended a home in the area of Ottawa Avenue and McRae Street in Niagara Falls. The initial investigation by officers determined that persons within the residence confronted three male suspects they found in a bedroom. A man in his 30s was then beaten by the suspects who were armed with a club and two replica firearms. The suspects left prior to police arrival.   

The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for his injuries which included being shot with a pellet. The victim has since been treated and released.

Officers recovered a replica handgun at the scene.

Officers received information that the suspects may be at a residence in the area of Ker Street and Franklin Avenue in Niagara Falls.Officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit and uniform officers attended the house. The house was contained and the three suspects exited the house and were arrested.

2 District detectives took over the investigation which they believe is a targeted incident.

Kody Chris Mounsey (30 years old) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the offence of:

  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Paul Chris Graham (30 years old) of Niagara Falls has been arrested and charged with the offence of:

  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Assault with a weapon

Shae O'neal Wolfe (21 year old) of Hamilton has been arrested and charged with criminal offence of:

  • Assault cause bodily harm

Mounsey and Graham were held in custody to attend a video bail hearing on Dec. 3, 2020, at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse n St. Catharines.

Wolfe was released from custody on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date of Feb. 10, 2020, at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse.
