Three arrested for break and enter in St. Catharines

On Nov. 9, 2020 at approximately 1:55 a.m., personnel working in the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) Real Time Operation Centre (RTOC) became suspicious of a group of three persons in downtown St. Catharines.

RTOC personnel were strategically monitoring closed circuit cameras in the area of St. Paul Street and Ontario Street in St. Catharines due to recent incidents of property crimes. Their attention was drawn to three males acting suspiciously. RTOC personnel continued to monitor the three males and observed one of them climb into a window of a closed restaurant while the others stood nearby.

1 District St. Catharines uniform officers were dispatched to the scene and all three males were arrested.

Kyle Kristopher McGuire (27 years old) of Niagara Falls; Lydell J. Monias (22 years old) of St. Catharines; and Samuel Kooger (21 years old) of St. Catharines have all been arrested and charged with the offence of: 

  • Break and enter with intent 348(1)(a) Criminal Code of Canada

All three males were subsequently released on a Form 10 Undertaking with a future court date.
