Police investigating thefts in St. Catharines (3 photos)

On Sunday Sept. 26 2021, 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers attended the U BREAK I FIX store located in the area of Fourth Avenue and First Street Louth in the City of St. Catharines regarding an intrusion alarm.

Investigation revealed that at approximately 3:30 a.m., an unknown vehicle had attended that location and backed up to the front of the store. A male passenger got out of the vehicle and proceeded to break the glass and enter the store. The male then stole multiple items and cash from the store. The male fled the area prior to police arrival in a grey sedan.

There is minimal physical descriptors of the male suspect.

The suspect is described as a:

• Male

The clothing of the suspect is described as: 

• Dark hooded sweatshirt with Michael Jordan logo on front
• Hood up
• Black handkerchief mask
• Gloves

At approximately 4:05 a.m., 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers attended the Metro Cell Store located in the area of Glendale Avenue and Glengarry Road in the City of St. Catharines for a break and enter call.

Investigation revealed that the store had been broken into by an unknown male and in excess of over $8,000, iPhones and cameras had been stolen. The male then fled the area in a grey sedan eastbound on Glendale Avenue toward the northbound 406 ramp.

Detectives have reason to believe the suspect is the same in both incidents and are seeking the public’s help in identifying the male suspect.
