Pelham man accused of sending unsolicited sex workers to victim's residence

Police say the accused sent female sex workers to victim's residence on 15 occasions between Dec. 5 and Jan. 10

In January of 2021, detectives from the 3 District – Welland office with the Niagara Regional Police Service, commenced an investigation into a mischief complaint.

The investigation determined that between Dec. 5 2020 and Jan. 10, 2021, a suspect allegedly sent unsolicited female sex trade workers to the victim’s residence in Pelham on 15 different occasions.

The investigation culminated with the execution of a Criminal Code search warrant and the arrest of a male on May 10, 2021.

Anosan Kugathas (29 years old), from the Town of Pelham was arrested and charged with the following criminal offences:

  • Mischief over $5000 (two counts)

Kugathas was released from custody with a future court date to answer to the charges.
