One dead after tractor flips in Port Colborne

On Saturday June 26, 2021 at approximately 3:48 p.m., 6 District (Port Colborne) uniform officers, Emergency Medical Services and the Port Colborne Fire Department attended the area of Chippawa Road and Babion Road, in the city of Port Colborne in regards to a farm tractor incident.

Officers arrived on scene at a large field and observed a farm tractor flipped over with the driver pinned underneath.

Investigation revealed a 70-year-old male was operating a farm tractor, when it attempted to go up a steep hill causing the tractor to flip over.

The 70 year old male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit and the office of the coroner.
