Niagara police investigate robbery at St. Catharines convenience store (3 photos)

On Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at approximately 5:12 a.m., 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform patrol attended the Big Bee convenience store, located at 66 Geneva Street, in the City of St. Catharines, in regards to a hold up alarm.

Investigation revealed that an unknown male had entered the store,  brandished a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes from a male employee.

The suspect then fled the scene and was last seen running south bound on Geneva street.

The victim did not sustain physical injuries as a result of the robbery.

Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service are seeking the public’s help identifying the suspect.

He is described as: 

  • White male 
  • 30-40 years old 
  • Average height 
  • Medium build

Clothing description: 

  • Black toque 
  • Red face mask or bandana 
  • Grey/white camo pattern tee shirt 
  • Black long sleeve under the tee shirt
  • Blue/dark jeans 
  • Red running shoes with white soles 
  • Black work style gloves
