Niagara Falls resident charged with speeding, stunt driving in Guelph

Police say the vehicle was clocked in at over 130 km/h in an 80 zone

CITY OF GUELPH – On Jan. 27, 2021 at approximately 6:20 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting radar and speed enforcement on Hanlon Parkway near Laird Road in the City of Guelph. The officer observed a blue passenger vehicle travelling northbound at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The motor vehicle was locked on radar at a speed in excess of 130 km/h.  

Kimberly Nodwell, 58 years old of Niagara Falls, has been charged with:

  • Stunt driving - excessive speed; and
  • Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The defendant is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court-Guelph on May 19, 2021.

Their vehicle and driver's licence were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
