Man wanted for human trafficking after 19-year-old found in distress in Niagara Falls

Suspect has ties to the GTA, Quebec and Halifax

At approximately 6 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers were called to a business in the area of Thorold Stone Road and Kalar Road in the City of Niagara Falls.

When officers arrived, they discovered a 19-year-old female in need of assistance.

Detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit became involved and were able to identify a suspect in relation to the investigation.

Thirty-six-year-old Branden Fraser of no fixed address is wanted for the following charges:
    •    Trafficking in a person, sec 279.01(1) of the Criminal Code
    •    Material benefit - trafficking, sec 279.02(1) of the Criminal Code
    •    Material benefit from sexual services, sec 286.2(1) of the Criminal Code
    •    Assault, sec 266 of the Criminal Code

Fraser has ties to the GTA, Quebec and Halifax, N.S. He was last seen in the area of Lundy’s Lane and Kalar Road in the City of Niagara Falls.
