Fentanyl, cocaine seized during St. Catharines drug bust

Since March 2020, detectives with the 1 District (St. Catharines) Street Crime Unit have been investigating the alleged sale of fentanyl in the City of St. Catharines.

On Friday, June 5, 2020, officers arrested a female in connection with the investigation. During the arrest, a quantity of drugs were seized including fentanyl, hydromophone tablets and cocaine with an estimated street value of $4,500.

Forty-three-year-old Alison Manzer is facing the following charges:
    •    Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - fentanyl / Section 5(2) / Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
    •    Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine / Section 5(2) / Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
    •    Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - hydromorphone / Section 5(2) / Controlled Drugs and Substances Act]

Manzer was held in custody pending a video bail hearing at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in the City of St. Catharines.
