Drug investigation in Niagara Falls leads to two arrests

Since August 2020, members of the Niagara Regional Police Service Morality Unit have been investigating the alleged sale of Fentanyl and Crystal Meth in the Niagara Region.

Further investigation led to an arrest of a male and female on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, the area of Ailanthus Ave and Frontenac St in the City of Niagara Falls.

Officers then seized over 255g of blue and purple Fentanyl, over 54g of crystal meth with an estimated street value of $79,000 as well as $27,000 in currency.

41-year-old Frank Masco and 21-year-old Roxanne Champagne, both from the Montreal area are facing the following charges:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking to wit Fentanyl - Section 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking to wit Crystal Meth - Section 5(2) CDSA
  • Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5000 - Section 355(a)]

Masco and Campagne were held in custody prior to a bail hearing on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, via video at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines.
