Credit union offers $15K reward in recent armed robbery

The Meridian Credit Union is offering a $15,000 reward to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of two suspects in an armed robbery which took place at 4780 Portage Road in Niagara Falls on Feb. 23.

Additional images have been obtained and Niagara Regional Police detectives are appealing to members of the public for assistance identifying both the suspects and the suspect vehicle. The white Dodge Caravan used during the robbery was bearing Ontario registration CSCS014.  It has since been determined those licence plates were stolen on Feb.15 from an address on Scott Street near Meadowvale Drive in St. Catharines.

Suspect No. 1 is described as:

  • Male
  • Black
  • Approximately six-feet tall

Suspect No. 2 is described as:

  • Male
  • Black
  • Approximately five-foot-nine 
  • Wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with BARRIE on the left chest and a red maple leaf logo underneath
