Body recovered in missing persons investigation in Niagara Falls

Homicide unit investigating after body of adult woman found Friday in area of Thundering Waters Boulevard and Marineland Parkway

Police say they are awaiting positive identification after a body was found in connection with a missing persons case that had been turned over to homicide investigators.

Tenille Olivia Lepp, 43, was reported missing on Oct. 31 in Niagara Falls.

The Niagara Regional Police homicide unit, emergency task unit, as well as marine and canine units having been conducting a ground search.

On Friday, the body of an adult woman was located in the area of Thundering Waters Boulevard and Marineland Parkway, according to police.

Identification is pending the results of a postmortem examination, police said in a news release.

Police said the public should expect an increased police presence in the area.
