Update 4 - March 24, 2021
On Friday March 12, 2021, at approximately 10:15am officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service Marine Unit located a body in the Welland River near Prince Charles Drive and Colbeck Drive in Welland.
Detectives from our 3 District – Welland office, the Forensic Services Unit and the Coroner investigated the matter and the deceased has been identified as Maria Jagiello. Foul play is not suspected.
Out of respect for the next of kin no further information is being released.
