Armed robbery reported at Canview Drive-In

At approximately 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020, uniform officers were called to the Canview Drive-In in the City of Thorold following the report of an armed robbery.

Investigation has revealed that a male approached a female who was working in the booth, showed a handgun and demanded money. The male fled prior to police arrival.

The male is described as a white male in his 30s, approximately 6’2” tall with a husky build wearing a purple zip-up sweater and a mask.

No one was physically injured as a result of this robbery.

A K9 track of the area was unsuccessful. 3 District (Welland) detectives are continuing to investigate.
