Thorold Knights of Columbus keep growing Garden Fest

The third annual Garden Fest will take place on April 14, 15 and 16 in the Holy Rosary Hall parking lot; Proceeds of the fertilizer sale will go to local charities

The third annual Garden Fest presented by the Knights of Columbus will generate a buzz in Thorold on April 14,15 and 16 in the Holy Rosary Hall parking lot.

The 3-day April tradition springs up community-wide excitement for those wanting healthy lawns and gardens. The 2023 sale will run on Friday, April 14, 4 pm – 7 pm,  Saturday, April 15, 9 am – 5 pm, and  Sunday, April 16, 9 am - 1 pm..  

This year the Thorold Community Activities Group will be included in the group of charities to receive proceeds from the fundraising event.  Garden Fest will also donate to the Special Olympics, St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank and Wellspring Niagara. Over the past two years, Garden Fest has donated more than $6,200 to charities.

Great Deals on Lawn and Garden Products 

High-quality lawn and garden fertilizers supplied by Niagara Orchard & Vineyard Corp. will be on sale.   

Garden compost donated by Walker Industries will be sold for $5 per bag.  

Premium grass seed will be on sale with various options to choose.

Bottle Collection

To help keep the environment clean and safe, Garden Fest will feature a bottle and used battery collection. K of C volunteers will be in the parking lot to assist donors to drop off donations. 

Food Bank Drive

Garden Fest welcomes everyone in our community to grow together and help persons in need of food. Non-perishable food items will be collected to support the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank in Thorold. 

Barbecue on Saturday, April 15, 11 am to 3 pm.

The Knights will fire up the barbecue to grill hot dogs, hamburgers and sausage at a nice price.

50/50 Draw

50/50 Draw tickets will be on sale for a chance to win a cash prize, and help the Knights help others.
