TORONTO, ON – Trevor and Karen Kot of Smithville won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $447,394.70 in the November 14, 2020 LOTTARIO draw.

"This is our first big win," shared the married couple, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings.

The mother and father of two children checked their ticket using the OLG Lottery App. "We had it validated two weeks later, then put it in the safe right away!" they said.

Karen said the couple told Trevor's mom about their big win right away. "She was so shocked, we thought she was going to cry!"

The pair plan to build a new home with their winnings. "This will make life easier," they concluded.

In accordance with government-issued lockdown measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, OLG is currently limiting the number of in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to only those that require a face-to-face interview.

Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail. The health and safety of our customers and employees remains our top priority and OLG looks forward to providing future updates on the availability of in-person prize claims.

LOTTARIO launched in 1978 as Ontario’s first terminal lotto game. Tickets are $1 and the draws take place every Saturday. Tickets purchased before 10:30 p.m. on Fridays are eligible for the Early Bird draw. Visit the LOTTARIO page on OLG.ca for more information.
