One of Niagara’s biggest mass vaccination clinic is shutting down on August 15th as immunization protocols returns to a smaller scale.

Niagara Health said Friday that it is planning to open a smaller clinic at the St. Catharines Hospital as operations wind down at the Seymour-Hannah clinic.

Close to 250,000 vaccine doses were administered from the centre, that sported a massive wall of colorful post-it notes with encouraging messages.

The upcoming, smaller clinic will be operating out of the hospital and will be serving around 200 people per day.

Other changes to COVID-19 operations in Niagara will also be seen as the testing centre at St. Catharines hospital will be moved to the Niagara Falls hospital on August 16th.

Over 61 percent of Niagara residents have received a complete set of vaccines.
