A charity pasta dinner at Club Belvedere later this month will be helping the less fortunate in the region after a local charity organizer teamed up with local businesses to make it happen.

James Symons of ToolBox Niagara told ThoroldToday that he was able to put together the event together with Michael Venneri, Bold Realty, and Impact Promotions, who all contributed to the cause.

"It's the first time we are doing this but you can really see the need. Right now, if you take a walk in downtown St Catharines, there is more visibility with people along the side streets, and on St. Paul street. You see this often, but this year it seems like it's more," Symons observes.

"Even if you can't eat pasta or can't go that night, you can still purchase tickets, and we'll be getting the food downtown to those who are there through outreach workers," he continued.

With some meal programs ending locally, those depending on food from outreach programs can go without a meal between lunch and the next morning in some cases, as the fall/winter season programs have not started up yet.

The pasta night-event has prepared 100 tickets, which gives the buyer a pasta dinner with meatballs, as well as desert and coffee for patrons who chose to dine-in. Takeout will also be offered.

The event will be running between 4 P.M - 8 P.M on September 15.

Tickets can be ordered through Club Belvedere or by emailing [email protected]

A donation bin for male hygiene products and winter apparel will also be located at Club Belvedere.
