COVID-19: 48 cases, one new outbreak reported in Niagara on Friday

Thorold now has 25 active cases after steady rise in past weeks

NRPH reports another 48 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, and one new outbreak.

There are 319 active cases across Niagara after 26 cases were resolved.

Thorold now has 25 active cases, which has increased steadily over the past couple of weeks.

St Catharines is now the municipality with the highest number of active cases.

192 variant cases have been confirmed in Niagara so far, but only 4 have been confirmed belonging to the U.K variant strain of the coronavirus.

There are 23 active outbreaks, of which three are in health care settings.

In the entire province, Ontario reported over 1,700 new coronavirus cases.
