COVID-19: 200 active cases in Niagara, one resident passes away (November 3)

Niagara now has 200 known active cases of COVID-19 after 44 new cases were confirmed on Wednesday.

One more Niagara resident was reported having passed away after contracting the virus, bringing the regional death toll to 438.

Among municipalities that have seen increases in cases, Fort Erie is the hardest hit with 45 cases as of Wednesday.

St Catharines still has the largest total, with 51, followed by Niagara Falls, 40.

Thorold has 9 known active cases.

Despite increases in community infections, the number of hospitalized cases dropped on Wednesday, as only 3 are admitted.
