NIAGARA REGION – The Niagara Transit Commission (NTC) is proud to announce that it has hired consultant Left Turn Right Turn (LTRT) to complete a comprehensive study aimed at revolutionizing public transit service in Niagara.

The Facilities, Strategic Asset, and Service Network Master Plan is expected to take 18 months to complete and will set the course for optimizing transit services over the next decade, with a focus on improving accessibility, efficiency, and affordability for residents and visitors alike.

The study will involve a thorough examination of existing transit infrastructure, service routes, and operational strategies with the primary objective of recommending an optimal service strategy tailored to meet the specific needs of the Niagara community.

Key elements of the Master Plan include:

Service Strategy Optimization: Exploring various transit options to maximize social access, ridership demand, and cost-effectiveness.

Asset Utilization: Optimizing vehicle and infrastructure use for long-term sustainability.

Route and Stop Optimization: Enhancing current routes and stops to better serve transit users.

Enhancing Customer Experience: Prioritizing comfort, safety, and affordability.

The NTC invites members of the public, community organizations, and interested parties to actively participate in the Master Plan process and provide valuable input as it progresses. Updates and opportunities for involvement will be communicated through the NTC's website and social media channels.
