Thorold City Hall is opening up select services after several months of being shut down due to the pandemic.

Available by appointment only, the following services will be opening up Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m, starting after the weekend:

• Building permit, residential licensing and sign permit applications
• Marriage licenses
• Business and lottery licenses
• Commissioning of documents and affidavits
• Consent and minor variance applications
• Development applications
• Community Improvement Plan incentives

Residents who wish to make water, tax, or any other payment are encouraged to sign up for preauthorized payments utilize the drop box at City Hall (cheques only), online banking, or through the City website.

Individuals who have made an appointment to access services in person will see enhanced health and safety precautions. Everyone entering City Hall will be subject to COVID-19 screening questions, mandatory use of masks and a hand sanitizing station will be available.

All meeting rooms will be wiped down and cleaned after each use.
