Niagara Public Health reports 6 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday in the largest jump in daily cases this week.
A majority of the 36 active cases in the region are found in Lincoln who has seen a steady increase of cases this week.
Active cases are found also in Niagara Falls, St Catharines, Welland, and West Lincoln.
The death toll has not increased in recent weeks and remains at 64, of whom most were residents of long-term care homes.
Garden City Manor in St Catharines is still under an outbreak, that has been ongoing since June 3.
