COVID-19: NRPH confirms 136 cases, administers 142 doses of the vaccine

NRPH confirms 136 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday - the first day of the stay-at-home order.

There are now 1,538 active cases in the region.

Three deaths were also recorded. 

In a new, more detailed breakdown of how the pandemic is spreading in Niagara, Public Health now also reports the exact numbers of active cases in each municipality.

The highest number of active cases is found in St Catharines, with 590 followed by Niagara Falls (326).

Thorold has 62 active cases.

The region reports that 142 doses of the vaccine have been administered.
