Woman suffers life-threatening injuries in west Pelham crash

On Oct. 10, 2023 at 9:48 a.m., 8 District (Grimsby/ West Lincoln/ Lincoln) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a report of a serious single vehicle collision in west Pelham.

Officers attended to the scene on Victoria Avenue north of Sixteen Road. A lone female in her 20s was being treated by Niagara Emergency Medical Services paramedics and Pelham Fire Service personnel. She was transported to an out of region hospital with what is believed to be life-threatening injuries.

The NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit has been called to the scene, they are being assisted by the NRPS Forensic Services Unit. The circumstances around this collision remain under investigation.

Victoria Avenue is closed between Sixteen Road and Twenty Mile Road. The closure is expected to remain in place into the afternoon. The public is requested to find alternative routes.
