Two in serious condition following early morning shooting

On August 2, 2019, at approximately 1:52 a.m., officers were called to the Sundowner adult entertainment bar on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls for a report of a shooting.

Uniform officers from the 2 District Niagara Falls office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) along with Paramedics from Niagara EMS responded for a report of multiple shots being fired in the parking lot of the Sundowner.

The early part of the investigation determined that at 1:52 a.m., a motorcycle entered the parking lot and the lone driver fired multiple shots from a firearm.   Following the shooting the suspect fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Officers located two males suffering from gunshot wounds.  The males were treated on the scene transported to out of region hospitals for further care.  Both victims were in serious condition at the time of their transport.

Detectives are reviewing video and speaking to witnesses.  They hope to be able to release a suspect and motorcycle description in the near future.

The investigation has led detectives to believe that this was a targeted incident. 

Detectives are requesting that any businesses, residences or taxis in the area between 1:45 a.m., and 2 a.m., please review your video surveillance/dashboard cam for suspicious activity.
