Two charged in St. Catharines stabbing investigation

On March 24, 2021 at approximately 7:25 a.m., 1 District (St. Cathrines) uniform officers attended the area of Court Street and Centre Street in the City of St. Catharines in response to a disturbance.

Officers learned that a 43-year-old male had been stabbed and assaulted in an alleyway at that location after in altercation had occurred. Further investigation revealed that there were two suspects.

The 43-year-old male was transported to an out of region hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

As a result, two suspects were arrested.

Jacob Lundy (20 years old) of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
    •    Aggravated assault
    •    Assault with a weapon

Lundy was held in custody pending a bail hearing that is expected to take place on March 25, 2021.

Tamara Stewart (22 years old) was arrested and charged with the following offences of:
    •    Aggravated assault

Stewart was held in custody pending a bail hearing that is expected to take place on March 25, 2021.
