Toronto man wanted for long list of crimes in Niagara Falls

Nashon Paterson-Matthews, 25, is wanted for multiple offences, including forcible confinement and assaulting a woman who suffered 'serious injuries'

On Aug. 29, 2022, officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service commenced an investigation into an assault allegation in the City of Niagara Falls. 

As a result of the investigation, Nashon Paterson-Matthews, 25, of Toronto, is currently wanted for the criminal offences of:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Forcible confinement
  • Assault
  • Assault by choking
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats (two counts)
  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Procuring
  • Advertising another person’s sexual services
  • Trafficking in persons by exercising control

The female victim in her 20s and Paterson-Matthews were known to each other. The victim suffered serious injuries as a result of this incident. 

The accused may be driving a stolen black four-door 2015 Acura TL with Ontario licence plate CEBA175. The car has a burned-out taillight and damage to the front end. 

An arrest warrant exists for Paterson-Matthews. Officers have reason to believe Paterson-Matthews is aware he is wanted and is taking steps to evade arrest. His current location is unknown. Paterson-Matthews has significant ties to the greater Toronto area.

Paterson-Matthews is described as:

  • Black male
  • 5’8” feet tall
  • Approximately 125 lbs, slender build
  • Black hair, often worn in a ponytail

Members of the public should not approach or confront Paterson-Matthews. Anyone who may know his location or have information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact detectives by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009285.
