Thorold driver clocked at 130 km/h in an 80 zone in South Bruce Peninsula: OPP

The 26-year-old faces stunt driving charges as a result

SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA – On May 22, 2021 at 2:46 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a driver of a motor vehicle for excessive speeding on Highway 6, near Limberlost Road, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.  

Grey Bruce OPP clocked this vehicle on RADAR at over 130 kilometres per hour (km/h) in this posted 80 km/h speed limit.  

Grey Bruce OPP have charged Ravji ARORA, 26 years-of-age, from Thorold with:

  • stunt driving - 50km/h or more over the posted speed limit, contrary to section 172(1) Highway Traffic Act (HTA).  

The accused was issued a provincial summons to attend court, a seven day drivers licence suspension and their vehicle was towed and will be impounded for seven days.
