Teen driver charged after Subaru hits Fonthill home

A single-vehicle collision on Sunday caused extensive damage to this home in Fonthill.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, 2023 at 3 a.m., 3 District (Welland/Pelham) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Haist Street and Pancake Lane in the Town of Pelham for a motor vehicle collision.

In a news release issued on Monday, police say that investigation revealed an 18-year-old male was operating a silver Subaru crossover when it collided with a house.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident. There was extensive damage to the roof of the home.  The 18-year-old male driver was charged with careless driving.
