Suspect sought after mobility scooter stolen

A red, three wheeled, 2020 Comfort (brand) mobility scooter valued at $2,400 has been stolen

Officers from the 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) office of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) are investigating the theft of a mobility scooter from a north end St. Catharines neighbourhood.

On April 12, 2024, officers responded to the area of Carlton Street and Woodelm Drive for a report that a red, three wheeled, 2020 Comfort (brand) mobility scooter valued at $2400 had been stolen. The scooter had been left parked at the complainant’s residence and was last seen at the end of March 2024.

As a result of the investigation, it was determined the scooter was stolen on April 10, 2024. The suspect attended the complainant’s residence at 12:10am on a yellow bike. The suspect stole the scooter at 12:25am and left the area. The suspect returned at 8:30am to retrieve the yellow bike.

The investigating officer is appealing to the public to assist in identifying the suspect and recovering the mobility scooter for the victim.
