Suspect identified in death of 22-year-old St. Catharines woman

Detectives have confirmed that 22-year-old Tineisha Chatwin died as the result of a gunshot wound.  

Further investigation has led to the identification and arrest of a suspect in relation to Tineisha’s death. 

21-year-old Elvis Berisha of St. Catharines was arrested on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, and is facing the following charge: 

  • First-degree murder

Berisha is currently being held in custody pending a video bail hearing on Wednesday June 30, 2021 at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in the City of St. Catharines
