Suspect arrested in July robbery

An arrest has been made in a St. Catharines robbery earlier this summer.

Niagara Regional Police Service say on July 17 on Queenston Street near Oakdale Avenue, a man verbally threatened the victim and demanded his belongings.

No weapon was seen but a suspect allegedly took an iPhone and T-shirt from the victim before taking off on the victim’s BMX bike.

Last month, police released photos of a suspect and last Wednesday they made an arrest.

Dario Thomas Angelo, 28, of St. Catharines has been charged with one count of robbery.

He's had a bail hearing and currently remains in custody.
