St. Catharines man wanted in connection with Thorold break-and-enter

The suspect is facing numerous charges

On Thursday, Dec. 17, 2020 at approximately 12:52 p.m., 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), attended a residence in the area of Keefer Road and Commerford Street, in the City of Thorold, in regards to an unwanted person.

Further investigation revealed that a male had entered the residence unlawfully in a previous incident, causing damage inside the residence and injuring a cat.

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify the male suspect.

Craig Wood (30 years old) of St. Catharines, is still outstanding and wanted for the following charges:

  • Break and enter commit an indictable offence (Mischief under $5,000)
  • Break and enter commit an indictable offence (Injury to animal)
  • Unlawfully in a dwelling unit

Wood also has outstanding warrants for:

  • Assault (two counts)
  • Forcible confinement
  • Theft under $5,000 (two counts)
  • Break and enter commit an Indictable offence (assault with a weapon)
  • Mischief under $5,000 (two counts)

Wood is described as being:

  • Male
  • White
  • 6’3
  • 170 pounds
  • Red hair

The whereabouts of Woods is unknown. However he has ties to St. Catharines. If observed, do not approach, call 911.
