St. Catharines man facing drug charges following investigation

In February 2019 Detectives from the St.Catharines Street Crime Unit initiated a drug investigation into the sale of fentanyl and cocaine in the downtown core.

On todays date the drug investigation resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old male from St.Catharines. Investigators seized over $2700 worth of fentanyl, over $3100 worth of cocaine/crack cocaine, and over $2900 in proceeds of property obtained by crime.

Arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, one count of possession of proceeds obtained by crime, and one count of breach of probation is 32-year-old Hunter Yzerman of St.Catharines.

Yzerman was held in custody pending a bail hearing on May 3rd.
