Police seek assistance locating missing Niagara Falls man (update: found)

93-year-old Robert Phillip was last seen on March 20

2 p.m. update

At approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019, Officers from the #2 District Niagara Falls office located Robert Phillip. Mr. Phillip appeared uninjured but was transported to a nearby hospital by EMS as a precaution.
 
The Niagara Regional Police Service would like to thank all members of the community who assisted in locating Mr. Phillip.

6:30 a.m. original release

Officers from the #2 District Niagara Falls office of the Niagara Regional Police Service are attempting to locate a 93-year-old man, Robert Phillip of Niagara Falls.

Phillip was last seen on March 20, 2019,  at approximately 6:45 p.m. in the area of Main Street and Ferry Street.  He is a resident of a retirement home in that area.

He left the retirement home on foot of his own accord (see photo), and has not returned. This is uncharacteristic of him and Police are concerned for his welfare.

There is not vehicle associated to this incident. 

Description:

  •  Male white, 93 years old
  •  6'2, 175 lbs
  •  Grey and white hair
  •  No facial hair

Last seen wearing:

  • Grey checkered coat
  • Blue shirt
  • Navy blue baseball cap with 'air force' written on it.  
  • Walks with a cane
