Police looking for vehicle after dog killed in Niagara Falls hit and run (6 photos)

The suspect vehicle is a white 4-door hatchback that may have damage on the front driver’s side bumper.

On Jan. 5, 2021, at approximately 1:05pm 2 District – Niagara Falls uniform officers were called to the area of Eastwood Crescent and Victoria Avenue for a report of a possible impaired driver.

Officers arrived on scene and met the male complainant.  The male advised that he had been walking his dog on the sidewalk when he saw a white car driving in a dangerous manner.  The car mounted the curb and brushed past the man.  The white car hit and killed the man’s dog.  The car continued without stopping, crossing a front lawn and then narrowly missing a female who had just parked and got out of her car.

The white car immediately left the area.

The suspect vehicle is a white 4-door hatchback. There may be damage on the front driver’s side bumper.

The driver of the suspect vehicle may have been male.  No further, suspect description is available at this time.

Officers investigating the incident have been able to locate images of the suspect vehicle moments before and after the dog was killed (see photos).

This incident is not related to the SIU investigation in Niagara on the Lake on Jan. 5, 2021.

2 District officers continue to investigate this incident of dangerous driving.  Anyone who may have information about the suspect vehicle or who may have been driving is asked to contact 905-688-4111, extension 1022200.
