Police looking for suspect in Niagara Falls shooting

Police released an image of suspect Nicholas Keighan–Scordino and the car he is believed to be driving.

On Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at approximately 9:52 a.m., 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers and Emergency Medical Services, attended the area of Jepson Street and Crysler Avenue, in the City of Niagara Falls for an assistance call.

Officers arrived on scene and observed a 25-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was airlifted to an out of region hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is currently in stable condition.

As a result of the investigation, detectives were able to identify a male suspect.

Nicholas Keighan–Scordino (23 years old) of Niagara Falls, is wanted for the following charges of:

  • Discharge firearm with intent
  • Possession of a restricted/prohibited firearm without license
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon (two counts)
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a vehicle
  • Fail to comply with release order (two counts)

Keighan–Scordino is described as being:

  • Male
  • 6’1
  • 150 pounds
  • Slender
  • Short black hair
  • Hazel eyes

Keighan–Scordino has ties to Niagara Falls. He was last seen in the area of Jepson Street and Crysler Avenue. 

Keighan–Scordino is believed to be driving a 2016 Grey Acura TLX bearing Ontario marker CLFE275.

Do not approach this male if observed. Call 911. 

Keighan–Scordino is considered armed and dangerous.

There is no threat to the public as this was a targeted event.

The investigation remains on going by detectives with the Niagara Regional Police Service.

Detectives are asking anyone who resides in the area that has video footage, or vehicles with dash cams that may have been in the area between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., on Jan. 2, 2021, to review their video footage and contact detectives if they observe anything suspicious.
