Police accuse Port Colborne woman with theft from a vehicle

On July 5, 2020, 6 District (Port Colborne) uniform officers responded to the area of Olga Crescent and Sugarloaf Street, in the City of Port Colborne, in regards to a theft from vehicle that had occurred overnight.

6 District Officers commenced an investigation and were able to identify. Subsequently a warrant was issued for the arrest of suspect in this matter. On Aug. 14, 2020, the suspect was located and arrested. 

April Delleuw (32 years old) of, Port Colborne, was charged with the alleged following offences:

  • Theft under $5000 from motor vehicle, 334(b), Criminal Code
  • Three counts fraud under $5000, 380(1)(b), Criminal Code
  • Three counts possession of property obtained by crime, 355(b), Criminal Code                       
  • Breach of probation Criminal Code 733.1(1)

Deleeuw was released on a Form 10 - undertaking and is expected to appear at court on Oct. 23, 2020, at the Welland Superior Court of Justice, located at 102 East Main Street, in the City of Welland.
