Pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in Niagara Falls collision

55-year-old man transported to out-of-region hospital by Ornge in critical condition

On Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 at approximately 6 p.m., 2 District (Niagara Falls) uniform officers attended the area of Bridge Street and Sixth Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls in response to a report of a collision.

The Investigation revealed that a 19-year-old male was travelling east bound in a Grey Honda Civic on Bridge Street. Subsequently, a 55-year-old male was crossing north bound on Bridge Street at Sixth Avenue. As a result, the vehicle collided with the male pedestrian.

The male was found to be in critical condition and was initially treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Services and the Niagara Falls Fire Department. He was then transported to an out-of-region hospital by Ornge with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives from the Niagara Regional Police Service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit.
