Niagara police trying to identify men involved in pedestrian hit

The investigation thus far has not been able to identify the taxi driver who struck the female victim or the witness who helped her

On Dec. 22, 2022 at 3:30 p.m., uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to a local hospital for a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a taxi in St. Catharines.

Officers met with a female in her 20s suffering from multiple minor injuries. The initial investigation determined the female had been crossing the road in the area of Facer Street and Concord Avenue in the City of St. Catharines. The driver of the taxi that struck the female stopped and rendered aid and then left the scene.  A male witness driver also stopped and walked the victim to her nearby home.

The investigation thus far has not been able to identify the driver who struck the female or the witness who helped her.  The investigating officer has very recently obtained photos from the incident and is appealing for the public’s help in identifying the involved men and their respective vehicles.
