On Friday, March 18, 2022 at approximately 6:30 a.m., 1 District (St. Catharines) uniform officers attended the area of Rykert Street and Powerview Avenue in the City of St. Catharines in response to a drug-related call.
When officers arrived on scene they located a male in the front seat of a silver Honda Civic. Officers approached the vehicle to speak with the male then observed drugs in the vehicle.
Officers advised the male he was under arrest however the male made attempts to get away. The suspect was able to flee and re-enter his vehicle. As a result the vehicle backed up and struck another vehicle as well as an officers fully marked police vehicle. The suspect continued to back up causing it to strike another vehicle before it fled the scene. An officer on scene suffered non life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
As a result of the investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect.
Christopher J. Judge (47 years old) of Niagara on the Lake is wanted for the following offences of:
- Assault peace officer with intent to resist arrest
- Assault peace officer
- Fail to stop after accident
- Flight from peace officer
- Dangerous operation
Judge is described as
- White
- Male
- 5’8
- Medium build
- Grey eyes
