Niagara Falls police seeking public's help locating male suspect

Man, 38, wanted on charges including robbery, kidnapping and assault

On Jan. 14 at 11:30 p.m., 2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake) responded to an abduction/theft of motor vehicle call for service at the Embassy Suites located at 6700 Fallsview Boulevard in the City of Niagara Falls.

Investigation revealed that an adult male had exited a Grey Dodge Durango SUV to check into a hotel at this location, when an unknown male jumped into the vehicle and drove away.  

At the time, an adult female and a young child remained in the vehicle. The male suspect stopped at the Embassy Suites hotel parking lot and forced them to exit the vehicle before fleeing the area once again.

The victims did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident.

On Monday Jan. 15, at 12:20 a.m., the stolen vehicle was located in the area of Baldwin Street and Hager Avenue in the City of Burlington, with damage to the vehicle. The male suspect fled the area by stealing another vehicle nearby.

2 District Detectives have taken carriage of the investigation, with assistance from the Halton Police Service and Six Nations Police.

The Niagara Regional Police Service is seeking the public’s help in locating the male suspect.

The suspect has been identified as Jason S. White, 38, and is described as:

  • Indigenous male
  • Medium build
  • Dark hair
  • Wearing a black coat, black sweater and jeans

White has ties to the Ohsweken area and is wanted for the following offences:

  • Robbery
  • Kidnapping (two counts)
  • Assault
  • Utter threats
  • Dangerous driving
  • Drive disqualified
