Niagara Falls man charged in human trafficking investigation

Detectives have reason to believe there are more victims

In November of 2023, the Niagara Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit launched an investigation into the trafficking of a woman in the Niagara Region. As a result of the investigation a male suspect was identified.

On Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, the suspect was arrested.

Anthony Angoy (25 years old) of Niagara Falls, was arrested and charged with the following offences:
    •    Obtaining sexual services for consideration
    •    Advertising another person’s sexual services
    •    Disobeying order of court

Angoy has been held in custody pending a video bail hearing scheduled to take place on Jan. 25, 2024, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse located at 59 Church St. in the City of St. Catharines.  

Detectives have reason to believe there are more victims.
