Niagara Falls man accused of human trafficking

Niagara Falls man faces assault, trafficking charges after an offence involving an adult female victim

On June 10, 2021, an investigation by the Niagara Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Unit concluded with charges.

The offences are believed to have occurred in the city of Niagara Falls and involve an adult female victim. 

Cameron Brenton Chiang (43 years old) of no fixed address, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Trafficking in persons
  • Material benefit - trafficking of a person
  • Material benefit from sexual services
  • Assault
  • Fail to comply with probation order

Chiang is currently in custody as a result of previous charges and will be held in custody pending a video bail hearing on June 11, 2021, at the Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
