On March 28, 2024, at 8:41 p.m, 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln) uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the Cannabis Cupboard at 4506 Ontario Street, Beamsville for a panic alarm call.
Investigation revealed that a lone male suspect entered the store with a revolver style black handgun and demanded money from an employee. The suspect fled north on Ontario Street on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The K9 unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended and conducted a search without success.
There were no physical injuries as a result of the incident.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- Medium to thin build
- 5-foot-10
- Black winter jacket with a horizontal reflective thin line across chest
- Black pants
- Blue running shoes with white soles
- Black and red gloves
- Blue medical mask
- Black hood
- Dark sunglasses
