Grimsby man arrested following joint narcotics investigation

The man is facing drug trafficking and weapons charges

In April of 2022, the Halton Regional Police Service One District Street Crime Unit (SCU) began an investigation in the alleged sale of illegal narcotics from a residence in Niagara. 

On June 15, 2022, detectives from the 8 District – Grimsby office of the Niagara Regional Police assisted Halton One District SCU detectives in executing a controlled drugs and substance search warrant at home on Dunrobin Lane near Winston Road in Grimsby.

During a search of the residence and a white 2016 Ford F150 pick up truck, detectives seized the following items:

  • Approximately 45g of fentanyl (estimated street value $9900)
  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia
  • A spring assisted switch-blade knife
  • Currency ($25,165 CAD, $30 USD)

A male suspect was arrested at the home by detectives.

The Niagara Regional Police Service has charged Stephen Mark O’Sullivan (69 years) of Grimsby with the offences of:

  • Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking (Fentanyl), Sec. 5(2) CDSA
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon, Sec. 91(2) CC

O’Sullivan was held in custody for a video bail hearing to the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines on June 16, 2022.

The Niagara Regional Police has taken carriage of the investigation as the accused resides in the jurisdictional boundaries of Niagara.
