Fort Erie man faces weapon charge after pistol replica turned up during search warrant

On April 20, 2021 5 District (Fort Erie) uniform officers were called to a motel in the area of Garrison Road and Central Avenue in Fort Erie for a report of a male armed with a gun.

Uniform officers, the Emergency Task Unit, K9, detectives, and negotiators with the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS), all attended the scene.

The male suspect was situated in a unit, which was contained by the NRPS. As a result, the suspect was arrested.

Subsequently, a search warrant was executed by detectives and an imitation firearm was located and seized.

Jeremy Bremner (44 years) of Fort Erie is charged with;

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Use imitation firearm in commission of offence

Bremner was held for bail and is expected to appear at court on April 21, 2021.
